The Autospire Compact range of self-propelled vertical auger diet feeders is a simple and manoeuvrable machine thanks to its rear steering axle. These self-propelled mixers have a left or right rear distribution trap door. Its size allows it to fit into the smallest corners of the farm with its overall height of 2.52 m and its overall width of 2.40 m. For individual farmers, the travel speed is limited to 25 km/h and all hydraulic functions are coupled directly to the engine.

360° GLASS CAB

A panoramic glass cab designed specifically for this machine, it offers optimum driving visibility and operating comfort. It ensures precise silo approach and silage unloading when preparing the ration from the top to the bottom of the silo. The 360° opening of the cab guarantees safe and smooth operation during the driving phase. The cab is equipped as standard with a heated windscreen, which ensures rapid defrosting and demisting in less than 3 minutes.

HIGH PERFORMANCE SILAGE UNLOADING

The loading phase is a critical moment in the preparation of the ration. The millhead must have a high torque while preserving the quality of the raw materials used. The Ø625 mm mill is equipped with 54 curved sections and has a 500 bar high-pressure motor with 116 HP to ensure efficient loading. Its 2 m working width provides a high output.

A COMPACT AND ACCESSIBLE MACHINE

This self-propelled diet feeder has been designed to operate in all buildings, old and new. The U-shaped frame design accommodates the tank to reach an overall height of 2.52 m with a consistent ground clearance of 25 cm. The design of the tank has been revised to reduce the overall width of the machine to 2.40m with a less flared shape. To make the machine even more maneuverable, the steering of the machine had to be revised. A steered rear axle with a large turning angle of 54° was chosen. Maneuvering at the end of buildings or at silo exits becomes child's play thanks to its short turning radius of 6.50 m.

DRIVING COMFORT

The machine's advance is hydrostatic and its activation is done by foot. The autospire has 2 speeds for a smooth and precise piloting. - Silo approach from 0 to 8 km/h - Displacement from 0 to 25 km/h The pneumatic seat is coupled to the armrest to maintain control while moving. The various driving elements are easily visible and accessible: programmable weighing box, cameras for reverse, tank and distribution. The driving joystick is the Comfort PRO control, which allows simple control of all primary functions of the machine.

A UNIQUE MILL SHAPE

The shape of the mill, coil design and position of cutting sections have been studied for better unloading and to reduce the negative effects of recycling (time wasting and shelling). The shape and angle of the coil means that the feed material is gathered, recentred and placed in the middle of the conveyor for increased output. The sections are placed behind the coil to cut the produce without upsetting the loading flow.

HOMOGENEOUS QUALITY RATIONS

Material can move easier in a smooth rolled tank because it is not subjected to additional resistance. As a result, the ration is mixed naturally and more effectively. The power required for a mix is reduced to a minimum. The smooth flared shape means that a homogeneous mixture can be obtained faster. The round design of the tank automatically extends the life of the tank.

A STEPPED AUGER TO ENSURE AN AERATED MIX

The Lucas G stepped augers have a unique form which means that the ration can be cut and ventilated by the steps which ensures the rations are blended properly for optimal proportioning. As standard, augers are equipped with 6 knives. It is possible to have 8 or 10 knives for each auger, adjust the angle to increase aggresivity and thus cut the fibre faster. The auger knives are tungsten carbide coated and are reversible to increase the lifetime. To speed up the cutting process, the cut-off plates with programmed sequences are inversed to facilitate blocking the fibre at the bottom of the tank.
